What is the best way to hook up some midbass speakers?

I have put two kicker midbass 6.5s in my car and i am mildly dissappointed in the overall sound of them. i have them hooked up to a ma audio 800 watt 2 channel amp pushing 190 watts rms by two channels at 4 ohms and the speakers are rated at 250 watts peak. i just dont really know how to solve this problem and need some input.
