Can you fit a 6x9 car speaker into a 6x8 front door slot?
Im kind of confused,cause first of all my front door speaker size is 6x8,i have
a 1999 mazda protege dx,and several persons including sales people at best buy,wal*mart and circuit city have told me that,you can easily fit a pair of 5x7 speakers into a 6x8 slot,but im now wondering,can a 6x9 pair be installed into the 6x8 slot without any major complications?,thanks.

When you put big speakers in your doors often you can not wind the window right down. you have to pull off the door trim.to find out.
undo any screwws you can see . 1 in door handle, one in the door pull/armrest behind a small round cover. pull the trim slowly and it will unclip. you will be able to test fit the speakers.
i ve seen this car with manual windows and you can not wind the handle past the speaker! so no winding down the windows
