Car Speakers

Onlinecarstereo.com has awesome deals on sick car speakers, like infinity, diamond audio, jl audio etc. problem is those manufacturers advise against ordering their products from this site. is this a legitimate warning (imitations. ) or is this a monopoly thing with the licensed dealers, who charge soooo much more for the same product?? someone know? someone ever order from ocs?

I used to work for a company that carried diamond and jl. they are strict on their internet policy. the main reason is that both manufacturers will warranty subs through an authorized dealer, and repair them if possible. the online dealers are selling these refurbished subs as new because most of the time there is no way to tell.online sales of these products are not warrantied through jl or diamond, they may be warrantied through the seller, but online sales are tricky, and many online warranties are tough to abide by. for example, i saw one on ebay a while back that said the sub was warrantied against being doa... connecting the sub to an amplifier voids the warranty.you have to be careful, alot of times if the price is nice to be true... it probably is.
