Hybrid Cars

What are the disadvantages to hybrid cars and which are the best? preferably people that know what theyre talkin about or have some sort of reference .

Since you asked, i feel the greatest disadvantage to a hybrid car like the civic (45 mpg), prius (50 mpg), escape (35 mpg)… is the announcement of hybrid electric cars like the chevy volt (100 mpg) or the ford edge with hyseries drive. if you bought a 2007 civic hybrid and gm begins to sell a 2009 volt like hybrid electric (100mpg) while gas price floats to $4.50/g, your civic would be worthless.
