Truely it depends. bose are great for home, infinity are great for the car, and jbl makes the best subs of these three..the biggest problem with bose is the price will almost always be higher for comparable quality. with that in mind. all of these brands have high and low quality speakers and products, and you really need to first figure out exactly what you want, what you want to spend, and then take a listen to em.. ultimately, you can get a great sound from any of these brands, but it depends on how much you spend. if you are trying to save money, then listening to the different speakers is more important. some of these brands make a better lower cost product than others.what you should do, is just go to a nice stereo/audio store and listen to the speakers from the top of the line to the bottom. i would put them in this order personally.jl audio - makes the best subsrockford fosgate - makes great all aroundkicker - makes great subsalpine - great dash units and speakersinfinity - great speakers all aroundjbl - great speakers all aroundbose - great speakers, but you have to pay for qualityyou can find speaker buyers guides online, or you can check out crutchfield.com for some ideas.otherwise, just keep scanning the blogs and finding out what others have experienced.
