Car Stereo

Best way/place to connect the hot lead wire from the stereo? i dont want it going directly to the battery and would like to know a good place to connect so it will come on when the car is started. the wire guage is to big to just place into the fuse panel. i just need t oknow were to hook it up so that it turns on with the car, i i go directly to the batter, then it is on drawing current all the time (unless i turn it off of course).

If u dnt wnt to go to the battery thn connenct to the alternaator, something with a big gauge has a bi guage wire cause it needs lots of power. if u use the factory setup which might or might not have a fuse on it( if it does it will easily get blown) and i prefer to use custom wireing because you kno it will work b/c you did it and you use a higher quality wire etc...
