Car Stereo

I got a pioneer cd changer in my car but my stereo got stolen wondering if it can be control with a stereo from different brand (it seems that its got the same plug)

Depends on the specific system, but generally the answer is no. with brands like alpine and pioneer. sometimes you even have to be carefull buying withing the same brand. what to look for is the control system used for the changer. usually have names like "ip_buss" "c_net" or something like that.
