The battery is located under the air cleaner housing. remove the air cleaner housing top portion that goes to the intake, then wiggle the bottom of the housing and pull up for it to pop out. you will then be able to see the battery. using a 10mm wrench take off the negative batt. cable then the positive cable. they are usually dirty, clean them with a metal brush, hot soapy water, or anything to get them a little cleaner before putting them on the new batt. with the cables off remove the 13mm bolt and hold down plate beside the batt., then remove the batt. then reverse the procedure.
