Car Battery

If you remove a 12 volt car battery what terminal do you remove first and why? also replacement?

I am interested in the direction of current flow during operation of battery.
Answer
The direction of flow of electricity. the conventional theory is positive to negative. the definition of electricity is the movement of electrons. electrons are negatively charged. so, if electricity is negative movement, the "flow" would be negative to positive.which post to unhook first? negative. the positive cable when unhooked from a battery almost always causes a small spark which is harmful to electronic circuit boards present on almost all cars nowadays. unhooking the negative cable first prevents static sparking and "leaking" voltage from escaping the circuit.for the same reason, when using jumper cables, connect the negative of the dead battery last.
