2007 toyota fj cruiser - emergency brake?
I have a new 2007 toyota fj cruiser. i installed a kenwood in-dash dvd player. the dvd player will only operate if the emergency brake is engaged. the dvd operates when the emergency brake is applied to the first "click" and i notice no strain on the car. is the emergency brake something "seperate" on the brake system? am i causing any damage to the braking sytem by engaging the emergency brake to the first "click"?

They hooked up the ground to the parking brake wire as they are suposto, do not drive while watching tv!!if you want to ignore the road and kill your self and others then just remove the wire off the parking brake and ground it.
