Toyota

1993 toyota camry wagon owners, please let me know what you think of your car. i will be test driving one soon

I have been looking at cars for several months now and have narrowed it down to a volvo with around 100,000 miles on it(around $3000) from 1987 to 1995 is what hits my budget max. or a toyota camry 1993 or newer of the same price range. i have a opportunity to purchase a 93 camry wagon for $2000. it looks good and i need to check the drive train over good and was hoping to get the inside scoop from a knowledgeable person out there on what to look out for. all i am interested in are wagons, and can not exceed $3500. i figure if the motor falls apart in this car i could get it rebuilt for less than $1500 so i think the price is alright. any info on this car would be appreciated. it is a 1993 camry v6 le with 115,000 miles one broken off door handle and a small dent in the lower passenger door.
Answer
Camry wagons are desirable cars, and dependable ones at that. i work in a toyota garage and see them relatively often and they are usually in nice shape. but you do have to take care of them. i would go for the toyota.
