2000 volvo s40 battery trouble?

I have a 2000 volvo s40 (100,000 miles)that began having issues with the battery about 2 and half years ago. the battery died and we replaced it with a volvo approved battery through napa. the first battery held up for approximately 10 months and then suddenly died. i replaced it under warranty and had no trouble with it until this last august when i had to replace it again, another 14 months. this has not been a great concern but now the car is beginning to act like it did back in august. it seems weak when i crank it up and often i crank it once and it dies and then recrank it and give it some gas. anybody have any suggestions?
Answer
You might have a bad alternator.you can have your charging system checked for free at autozone.i believe sears automotive checks charging systems for free and they have nice batteries available with nice waranties.but thats what it sounds like.
