I need to replace the trim around the lock. it appears i need to remove the entire glove box to replace this one piece. i do not want to call volvo or go to a dealership and both charge for this information. any help is greatly appreciated.

1. remove soundproof panel underneath (held by 2 screws) - easy 2. undo gas struts (makes the glove compartment glide open instead of popping out suddenly) - just pull outwards to pop it out of the socket - easy 3. remove 10 screws (1 on each corner, 2 each top & bottom, 1 on each side) holding the entire glove compartment assembly - easy but can be tricky because on some of the lower bits it may be tricky getting a regular screwsriver in there, you may need a specialist right angle one. 4. remove 2 connectors (for footwell lighting and glove compartment lighting). install in reverse order.
