Volvo

My parents are looking to get a new car and they cant decide towards the two. i like the acura because it looks slick and it a big car with as much safety features (from what i see) as the volvo. my dad doesnt car but my mom wants the volvo because it is traditionally safe. which would you guys suggest as the best buy? they will be driving the car and 98% of the time it will be my dad. they want a nice luxury car but the reason safety is so important is mom my got into a moderate crash a year ago and is affraid to drive but like i said i dont see much difference between the two in safety.

Although the volvo is a safe car, the acura will cost less to maintain over the course of its life.parts are easily available and less expensive.the volvo is always more money for parts and labor.the acura is years ahead of its time in government safety standards as is volvo .the acura will also be worth more at trade time or resell.
