Question about volvo s40?
I recently purchased a 2000 volvo s40 and the radio/cd player do not work or come on. is it true that if the battery was replaced before purchase that something (programming) must be done as a security feature before it will work again? any help would be appreciated.
Answer
If the lights on it or nothing works use the little handles that are on it and pull it out and make sure its connected first. if it is
while you have it out look in the back and get the serial number and model number from the face and your vin and call your local volvo dealer and get the radio code to turn it on. if i were you id turn around and sell it before it breaks down on you though i used to be a volvo mechanic and those are some troublesome cars and the parts are expensive to replace. dont for get to change the oil on time because of the turbo if not you will burn it out and ruin the entire engine.
