How do i disassemble the upper case to repair this mirror? a new on cost over $1,000.00 cdn.

If the truck is the same model as sold in european markets (fh12 or fh16) as a "cab-over", you access the inside of the upper casing by removing the mirror glass, which is held in place by a large spring clip onto the ad ing motor. grip each of the circular ends of the clip & "unhook" it,(best to use long nose pliers) and move to the side, this should release the mirror. there should be a short "lanyard" already attatched to the rear of the mirror to stop it falling out. once removed, you should be able to remove the "wide angle" mirror casing using a "torx" bit to unbolt it. --- the prices are similar in england, about £350 for a new mirror assembly!
