Volkswagen

I have a volkswagen gti 1998 and the signal and back light r going crazy on me. one minute i signal and it is working, the next minute i brake to come to a stop and they stop working . when i let off the brake they start working. then my back window light be blinking like i have my hazz lights on. any suggestions or should i got straight to volkswagen?

Definately the wires are shorting to each other, i thinki short circuit to positive.have a look at the wiring, will advice you start checking the wiring to the rear light cluster first.its best if you have a wiring diagram to help you trace the fault.otherwise i will suggest you seek help from a competent shop or dealer. i hope this helps.
