Someone know much about 99 volkswagen passat? safety, reliability, longevity, etc. thanks for any help.?
I am
replacing a honda accord that was recently totaled in an accident and love the look of the passat. will it last as long and be as safe as my beloved honda?

99 passat - nice interior, nice ride, nice safety records, well equipped, but... poor reliability, parts are expensive, multiple problems with practically ething - engine, electrical, front suspension, brakes, etc. if you realy like passat - go for 2001 and newer with v6 or w8 engine under vw certified program (it is like extended warranty)
