I have a suzuki gz250 and heard you can change the gearing or something to make it run smoother at lower rpm?
Any help would be great. also would this let me go a little faster

Run smoother ? i think maybe you mean the bike wont rev so high at cruising speeds . you can change sprockets to changethe gearing but just remember if you make it so you lower your rpm at cruising speed your off the line accleration will drop
