To charge the battery. also if somebody could send me the pdf of the service bloke ual i would appreacite it. thanks the key takes off the back seat but not the front.

On each side of the bike, below the front seat is a black plastic panel. these panels have to be removed. on each side of the bike, under the seat, there is an allen head screw that has to be removed. then the seat will come up and you can get to the battery. more detailed info can be found here.http://www.sv650.org/sv_manuals.htm
