Suzuki

I decided that my first motorcycle is going to be a suzuki, but i am torn between the sv650 standard bike and the v-strom 650 dual-sport bike. i seriously like them both and i am asking this to gain a little insight to aid me in my decision. i prefer to those who answer this question that you be honest, unbiased, as well as current or previous owners of the 2 afore-mentioned motorcycles.

I had owned the sv650 and have ridden the sv1000, v-strom 650 and 1000 several times. my honest opinion is the 650s are the better bikes for beginners as well as experienced riders, so your choices are good to start with. if you want a bike that is sporty and will be doing track-days i would recommend the sv650. if you want an all around great bike the v-strom is your best choice. there is no bike that compares to it. you would have to buy 2-3 different bikes to equal the v-strom 650. i am in the m/c industry and i own over a dozen bikes.
