1.8l/125bhp, 1999 model car starts and runs but has fuel smell from exhaust s if unbrunt fuel, but accelerates ok. but engine vibrates after warm driving cycle of one hour, as if one cylinder does not work. spark plugs look black sooth, replaced. airmass sensor also replaced. no air leak found. plug wires ok.can somebody tell if there are any software updates available for such faults?thanks.no faults recorded in ecu memory, infact none of the ecus has stored any faults.have tried to fit a new coolant temp sender but no go.earth connections ok, no loose contacts found.

Best bring it down to the mechanicto check with the vag-l. this dianostic equipment would be able to bring out any faults that your ecu is encountering. servotronic specialises in this. they are at 176 sin ming drive, autocare building second floor. look for dennis or phillip
