Does somebody own or remember seeing the renault caravelle in the usa?
It was this two seater renault hardtop convertible with the engine in the rear, and it was known in the usa as a caravelle as i recall. my family had a 1965 model years ago when we lived in south carolina. our car was a bluish gray with a black interior, it was later painted black. the removable hardtop was cool, but kinda heavy as i recall. it also had a soft top as well.i remember it was a fun car to cruise around with the top down when it ran ok, but it was slow and fairly troublesome, lots of electrical issues as i remember. my family had it for years, but some jerks shot the car many times over when it was stored in a barn on our farm when we were away for the summer after we moved to texas, so that was the end of it as the glass and e body panel had numerous holes in it. it was compleely trashed and ruined by gunfire!sad but true. dose anyone else remember these cars?
