Ok heres the rundown of the cars:s2000: looks great, rev-happy car. handles great. weak transmission, torqueless motor. much faster on paper than in real life (due to how they launch the car, which is unrealistic). tiresome for day to day driving due to pathetic powerband.miata: still the best entry level roadster on the market. one of the best roadsters ever produced (possibly best ever). reliable, fun, handle great. lows: low on power for most people, gay/hairdressers car (not an issue, youre female). often not taken seriously due to low power, but e person that races for real (circuit racing) will tell you theyre the real deal. great car.z4: not bad. highs: its a bmw (brand/prestige), motor isnt bad, decently quick, handle well. lows: boxster does ething it does better (more presitgious, faster, handles better, more reliable), except possibly look better (subjective though). personally not my winner in this category. weighs too much for my taste also.saab 9-3: not too familiar with these, but from what i understand, theyre kinda overpriced, and not in the same category as the others. its not much of a roadster. kind of a 3 out of 5 car. not my choice again.slk: mercedes should not make roadsters. personally, im not a huge fan or mercedes in general, but this one is a huge miss in my book. mercedes can not make a damned car fun to drive. its like against their philosophy. its too heavy, lacks a manual, and is way way too focused on comfort for a roadster. theyre nto reliable either. on a track they would prob finish last of all of these cars. the only thing it has going for it are possibly its looks and the badge (which again, im not a huge fan of). it ranks last of these.so in recap, for their respective prices, i would place them:#1)boxster s/miata. they tie due to being equally awesome, yet in different price brackets.2) z4 good car all around, not as good as a boxster.3) s2000. fun car on a track, but overall not that great in many other things. 4) 9-3, although, admittedly i dont have a huge amount of experiance with these......5) slk. sacrifices way too much to be a roadster of any enjoyable value. i found the one i drove (an 06) to be boring to drive. my moms old audi a6 (luxury car!) was 10x more fun.
