Whats the difference between the 2003 porsche turbo and the gt2?

Answer
Honestly, in terms of driving, practically e thing. i own a 2003 gt2, and my best friend has an 04 turbo, theyre like completely different cars in terms of driving. for the on paper stuff: the turbo was about $110kish dollars, where a gt2 stared at about 185k. the turbo has all wheel drive, traction control, stability man agement, and some various other nice ies. its a 405 hp, turbocharged flat 6 with an amazing torque curve. it weighs around 3400-3500 pounds. the gt2 is a rwd only, 465 hp car ( conservatively rated car), from a similar engine. the gt2 has different turbos, various other different engine parts, carbon ceramic brakes, a much more agressive suspension. it does not have any traction control, or stability man agement, or any of those other nice ies. its around 3100-3200 pounds. the gt2 is a raw, pure, brutal drivers car. the pre-2004 ones have the nickname of "widowmakers" because they have a high death rate. in 2004 they had a minor suspension revision that made the car a bit less hairy (although its still a beast). man y magazines dubbed the gt2 as the "return of the scary 911". the turbo on the other hand is an incredibly fast, daily drivable, driver friendly supercar. its compliant, forgiving, yet still wickedly fast. most people on a track would actually go faster in a turbo than a gt2, until they got alot of track time under their belts, simply because its so much easier to drive at or near the limit. some other differences: the gt2 has steel synchros in the tranny which are much stronger. it also has a much shorter throw shifter. they also only sent a few hundred to the united states. 996 gt2s are actually more rare than carrera gts. the gt2 has 315 rear tires instead of 295s. the gt2 is a race car that can be used on the road, the turbo is a road car that is an excellent track car. its horrendously fast. way faster than any 465 hp car should be. i would not buy one of these without signing up instantly for some trackdays. the car is too fast and too brutal not to learn what it does in a controlled environment (and to learn what it can do). if you have more questions, you can email me at phanofmuzik@gmail.com
