Remote control car engines or airplanes -- perferably a gas powered 1?
Now iam a nooby to the remote control car and airplane engines, however i know alot about real car and motorcar engines, but the remote control engines are entirly new to me.so my question is are the engines similar, like a 24.7cm engine for example. is the "cm" like the "cc" on a motorcycle?so what are the most powerful engines for cars and airplanes?what is a nice engines size for a nooby like me to start out with for a car (i want to make like a porsche 928 model) and a airplane (something like a spitfire)?any nice websites that can show me prices of enignes?and what are nice remotes for the vehicles like cars and airplanes?what is a nice engines size for a begginer car (a lot of torque and speed perferabbly) and what will it run to buy it?what is a nice engines size for a begginer airplane, and what would it cost?
Answer
Most of the engines are rated by cubic inch. such as .049 cid. ( small engine) a lot of the car models run .20. most powerful engines are the sneurle ported. sort of like tuned pipes. as to a spitfire, not a nice plane for a beginner. low wing plane too fast, too unstable (needed for performance) need a high wing trainer. suggest you look at tower hobbies.com site, hobby-lobby.com. both huge mail order companies, both nice to deal with. dan...
