Answer
While i dont own a 996 turbo, i have driven one on many occasions, and own its more ruthless, agressive big brother, the gt2 (and a 1987 930 turbo)overall, i think theyre much the best sportscar for the money. one can be had in the 60s, and theyre incredibly well refined (compared to anything else on the market, its amazing how nice and solid the p-cars feel), not too harsh for most people, and relatively easy to drive for a 911, mainly because of the awd, the pasm and tcs, and the more neutral steering balance. if you can afford it, buy one! youll never regret it!and then join your local porsche club of america. they have all kinds of awesome events, such as races, driving schools (which are a total blast!), dinner nights, spirited country drives, etc etc.
