Pontiac grandam air conditioning question?
I have a 1999 pontiac grand am se the air conditioner is blowing out just plain air but the heater is working my stepdad checked the fuses and supposdly the a/c comp diode is out what is a a/c comp diode?is it possible this could be the problem?if not what else could it be?

Compressor clutch - low freon from a leak from a bad ac hose - comp seal - evaporator - condenser - hi/low pressure switch - ac belt gone (if not a serpentine),,mixer doors not ad
