My wife has a 2001 pontiac aztek. engine cooling fans continue to run after vehicle is turned off. what is up?
The vehicle has 110,000 miles and just started doing this. temp gauge barely moves.fans kick off after about 5 minutes.

In man y cars that is normal. the fan is simply cooling the water down for the next start-up. the sensor tells it when to cut off.
