Pontiac grand prix clear coat? (clearcoat)?
I have a 2000 pontiac grand prix gtp.the clear coat on my front bumper is faded and in the back bumper is faded away in some areas and on my left quarterpanel the clarcoat is gone. also, the clearcoat is peeling off in a few little blotches on my spoiler. why would it do that? i have seen other grand prixs that have the same problem and is there anyway to fix it by myself and prevent it?

The only cure is to repaint the damaged areas. generally, the reason clearcoat peels is a lack of film thickness, either from not enough clear applied or possibly it was buffed & too much clear was removed.
