Opel

How come both toyota and opel have a car brand "corsa"?

Answer
Ok this does happen from time to time. the toyota tercel had a numebr of names in different markets/countries including corolla and corsa and soluna. opel (and in england vauxhall) make a current model called the corsa allthough it also had been called a nova in the uk companies often re-name cars for different markets for their own reasons. the ford mondeo (outside of us and canada) was lauched as a world car , and hence the name, but in the states and canada it was called the contour . a car called the vauxhall chevette in the uk was the gm "t" car and known as the pontiac accadian. see here.. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/gm_t_platform
