My nissan 240sx that has issues. the car will be running fine one day then starts running bad blowing black?
I have a 94 nissan 240sx that has issues. the car will be walking fine one day then starts walking bad blowing black smoke and i have to keep my foot on the gas when i stop or it will go dead. it has done this several times. as quick as it starts doing it it will stop and run like a little race car. i have done all the usual stuff..tune up, fuel filter. i bought this car as a project car but this issue has me stumped!

Check o2 sensor in the exhaust, air flow meter in intake, sheck connections to the computer, check the grounding wire from computer to chassis.
this issue is fuel management related and the above control or help monitor this.
