Its a 1990 mitsubishi lancer (manual) and it needs to have the head taken off to replace the bearings and a bearing has fused to the crank shft. the motor we want to replace it with is fuel-injected and an auto can i use the needed parts from the other car or am i better to go get it from an identical car of my own?
dont say get a new car, i like
this thing. thanx
Answer
Short answer is yes. if the only difference is in the fuel deli system, then you are ok. that means check diameters, angles, lengths. if fuel injection was an option for the engine, they probably just used a different intake manifold on those engines equipped with fuel injection.
