1997 mitsubishi mirage..i have one and was wondering..?
It seems to idle pretty high. what might cause this and anyone have an idea how to ad it or where i can go to look up info on it?thanks fellas.

Pop the hood. check out the intake blokeifold..mitsu..hmm..okay, there should be a brass-looking thingy with springs on it. if you rotate that brass looking thingy, your car will rev (maybe you knew that alread) anyhoo, your gas pedal cable connects to that. there should be a screw there that you can tighten or loosen, opening or restricting the throttle while not pressing the gas at all. that is one way..another way is to check all your vacuum lines. a damaged vacuum line can cause the the engine to idle high in an attempt to reestablish the vacuum it needs to blokeipulate whatever diaphragm is not properly responding because of the damaged vacuum line..i know, it sounds vague, but trust me, vacuum lines can be your worst nightmare..
