Help mercury cougar stalling while in idle?
My 99 mercury cougar just started stalling on me while it idles under 1 rpm...usually when in park or if i come to a stop sign.. i have replaced the fuel pump in it and have had a tune up in it in the last 6 months. i feel like mechanics might be taking advantage of me. could it be the carborator or the airfilter...i need some advice.can somebody help me to ask what questions when i take it in again ? any suggestions on what it might be?
