94 mercury cougar temp. gauge?
Have 94 mercury cougar, have new thermostat , and coolant is full but temp. gauge goes to hot side after 15- 30 minutes of drive time any ideas? thanks in advance
temp. rises during both city an h/w driving . radiator is probably 6 yrs old, radiator cap maybe 2years old. thermostat put in correctly hoses are older than radiator . new head gasket 5 yrs. ago

Um might need some more information! is it constant driving? on freeway or stop and go? high speeds or city driving.
i had a car where the bottom radiator hose was getting weak, and when i got up to freeway speed it would sorta colapse in on its self and block the flow, and would over heat, but when i got back down in speed, it would un block and be fine,
k me a long time to figure that one out!
