Answer
If by register you mean certified and encapsulated, there are several professional services that will do this for you. the two premier services are professional coin grading service (pcgs) and national coin grading (ngc). another well respected service is anacs (i forget the name). each of these has its own set of rules as to how to submit coins. you can find them on the internet to find out what their rules are. it might be easier to take to coin to a dealer you trust or another collector and see if he will submit it for you with some of his coins.as noted by another answerer the value depends greatly on the condition of the coin. a coin dealer or a collector might give you a nice idea of the value once they get a nice look at the coin.just remember a dealer will give you his buying price not what he sells the coin for. a collector might give you a better idea of the retail value of the coin.
