Mercury dime?

I have a 1906 dime i thought was a mercury but the profile is facing the opposite direction. it is silver i think and it clearly says one dime on the back and united tates of america on the front with the date of 1906. thanks much for any info at all :)

You have a barber dime, minted from 1892 and named after its designer and the chief engraver of the us mint at that time, charles barber. it has the same alloy of 90% silver as its successor the mercury dime and the seated liberty dime before it. depending on the condition and mintmark(if any) on your dime, it could be worth $3 or less in worn condition, to around $6 in average circulated. the mercury dime design was only introduced in 1916 and struck till 1945.
