Will a fuel filler pipe from a 1998 or 1996 mercury tracer fit onto a 1997 mercury tracer.?
If not can i be enlightened as to why. the cost for a 1997 mercury tracer fuel filler is $200 more than the other years
unfortuantly the metal neck of the pipe has rotted.

They are diffrent part numbers. the mounting or the curves on the hose might be diffrent. if your trying to find one at a wrecking yard you can also search for an escort of the same year. if only the rubber peice which the part that is most commonly damaged but only sold with the complete unit is
