Most of the changes are cosmetic, such as a bigger grill and different headlights. there are some suspension changes for better handling and different colors and options as well.as to reliability, the new e-class for 2008 has fared well, unlike the 2003 which is pretty close to lemon status. mercedes has cured a lot of the reliability problems that plagued the new w211.
