Mercedes plugins over time get dirty or not tight.i found cleaning them or wrapping with ties fix the problem.if you have
the tach amp that screws off,sometimes they will go bad.you can unscrew it, then
pop the cover off and fill it with something,so when inserted the plug goes deeper into the socket.
