1999 mercedes-benz c230..nice car??

Is the c-230 a nice car? what should i expect to pay for a 1999 c230 that has 95,000 miles? is it necessary to put premium fuel n this car or can i also put regular fuel (the cheaper kind)?
Answer
The previous poster is right on the money. stay away from any mercedes in that 10 yr period. a 94 would be on the border of horrible reliability and quality.2005 is when they sent out "hit squads" to their suppliers, so im going to add 2006 to that.it will require premium, and no, you cannot use regular. people will tell you that its fine, but they obviously dont know engines. a high compression engine in a performance based car requires a fuel that can burn quickly... regular fuel does not burn fast . over time, you get a bunch of unburnt fuel buildup, and when the cyl is hot , it will explode... this is known as detonation... an uncontrolled explosion in the cyl. if you think saving a few cents per gallon is worth the cost of a $4000 engine, then fine, use the cheap stuff.if youre asking about regular fuel because you dont have the money for premium, you might want to stay away from mercedes. they are expensive to maintain and own.you would find a much better deal with a lexus. very reliable, more expensive then a honda to own, but not as pricey as the mercedes.
