The new lincoln model, mkz; what does the mkz stand for?
2007 version of the lincoln zephyr slightly modified
Answer
This is just the new naming convention that lincoln has chosen to use. the mk is generally pronounced "mark."
just like the mkz (mark z) was formerly known as the zephyr, the new mkx (mark x) was formerly the aviator. it is
possible that the z in mkz refers to the zephyr, and the x in mkx refers to the fact that the aviator is a crossover suv.
