Jeep

Hi, i recently bought an 87 jeep cherokee. on the drive home, after about 10 min i began to feel heat coming from the transmission area. i know jeeps run hot (i have a wrangler and you can see why you need carpet), but i though it was wranglers. ideas?thanks.

First check the tranny fluid, if it is still red and not brown and burnt smelling then it is not your tranny so it must be a plugged catalytic converter, you should get this fixed quick because the heat may damage your transmission. good luck!
