Does someone know how many miles you can put on a 1995 jeep cherokee v8 engine until it needs to be replaced? the engine has around 225,xxx miles already. would the engine already have been replaced? how many more miles will this engine last?

I checked the database of chrysler vehicles with more than 200,000 miles and found a significant number of trucks and vans with the 5.2l (318 cubic in) engine listed with at least 200k miles. it is a durable engine if properly maintained. the highest mileage was a 1974 plymouth voyager 1-ton van, with 640,000 miles. more than a handful had 500,000+ miles. a few had more than 400,000 miles. loads had more than 300,000 miles, and too many to count had 200,000 or more miles. just do the regular maintenance and change the oil and filter e 3,000 to 5,000 miles. http://allpar.com/old/club/vehiclesearch.php
