If i were to lift my jeep wrangler tj 2 inches would it be pointless to get just slightly bigger tires than the ones i have on my jeep now which are 30x9.5. i guess i could go to 31x10.5 with my stock rims but would this move be pointless being that its only a inch more in height and width and that my 30x9.5 tires are practically brand new?

Exactly as the first answer says put the lift on because you will have more clearance on the frame and body and the tires and wheeels will have more articulation when off roading when the tires wear out then get the size you want nice luck and happy jeeping
