Any problems with burning both high and low beam filiments in a dual filiment bulb as in a jeep tj?
I have a jeep tj with single 7" round headlights and i have upgraded to the cubi reflectors with 80/85 h4 bulbs. the low beam is exclent, but when i switch to high beam, i loose the flood of light on the road just in front of the jeep. i designed a harness with 12ga wire and 3 bosh relays that allows both high and low filiments to burn in the dual element h4 bulb, but i have concerns as to the saftey of my mod. am i setting myself up for sometype of failure? look forward to a response that explains why this is wrong or not a problem. thank you for your time and input.powell

If your high bean goes to the horizon, the lights are aimed too high.
but to answer your question, i agree, that short lift due to over heating the bulb is probably the worst problem. you took care of my first concern which is wiring.
if you reflectors are plastic, there will be a problem there,
if you go off road and slow speed and low air flow over the bulbs.
