1997 jeep wrangler!the air only blows thru the defrost any mechanics help greatly appreciated!

The linkage that controls where the air blows from has fallen out into the floor board in pieces!it only blows through the defrost.i how do i get to this to repair " is it behind the radio?" and is it difficult.also can i buy the parts @ a parts store or jeep dealer? thanks for the help!!!
